Press the STOP button directly on your XO PILOT application. If the command does not respond, move to the robot and trigger the emergency stop button located on the robot totem.
The breeder receives notifications and alerts via the XO PILOT application. XO PILOT allows configuration, programming and can send all kinds of alerts to its user: anomaly detected, tag reading impossible, robot stopped, obstacle detected, etc.
It is recommended to charge the robot at the end of the day once its route has been finalized. Let the robot charge overnight.
Yes, the robot returns to its XO STATION charging base autonomously thanks to the XO PILOT Application.
Autonomous navigation does not require human presence within the building. The robot can navigate unsupervised.
No. A single robot is enough for a building. The robot works all areas of a building (up to 2500 m²) in one day.
Yes, thanks to the XO PILOT application, choose and launch the desired navigation route in the building. Several working areas are possible for a single robot.
The robot does not pick up dead chickens today. But this feature is in the works.
It is recommended to have one robot per building for health and practicality reasons.
The building must be up to standard, with Internet speed.
The spaces at the ends of the lines must be equal to or higher than or 1.20m for the turns of the robot.
The minimum width of the corridors must be equal to or higher than 1 meter (width of the robot: 80 cm).
Poultry buildings with separations, low walls, obstacles (hoppers, perches, weights, etc.) are compatible with the use of the XO robot.
The robot can start working from the 5th day of the batch until about the 23th day.
During this period, the robot must work every day.
The XO robot has 5 patents.
The XO robot is suitable for broiler farms only.
The cost of a robot is between 20 k€ to 34 k€ depending on the functionalities and the size of the building.
High pressure cleaning is recommended only on the wheels, rolling base, scarifier and the upper part during each crawl space. It is strongly recommended to use the waterproof connector caps delivered with the robot.
Cleaning the upper part of the robot is tricky. Do not insist with the high pressure jet on the sensitive parts such as the optics or the sensors of the robot. The jet must remain at a minimum distance of 60 cm. The optics are cleaned using a microfiber cloth and optics cleaning product.
Make sure that there are no traces of drops on the optics after drying. These could destabilize the guidance of the robot.
Octopus Biosafety is part of an economic and environmental approach and offers customer support over a minimum period of 5 years.
The maintenance contract includes in particular:
– Installation and starting up
– Training in use and operation
– 5 year warranty
– Technical support: 24/7 monitoring
– Preventive replacement of wearing parts
– Maintenance visits and on-site checks
Octopus Biosafety offers a maintenance contract over a period of 5 years.
The XO robot is guaranteed for 5 years.
Regular updates of the robot will be carried out directly on the tablet.
Robot updates occur when the robot is charging, or during animal night cycles, battery level permitting. These updates will be completely transparent to the user.
A personal and secure Cloud is made available with all building data in real time.
The Cloud makes it possible to store the data acquired by the robot on an Internet server. This data can be consulted at any time via the tablet, smartphone or PC.
This secure data will make it possible to follow the evolution of the breeding and to add notes to it to establish balance sheets and compare the years. It is possible to enter various information such as the type of litter used, its costs, the different products used for animal feed (vitamins, acid, etc.), the quantities, the price of energy and consumption.
The scarifier aerates the litter by mechanical action. It allows even drying of the litter, prevents the formation of a crust and reduces the production of ammonia.
The scarifier has a working width of 63 cm. Its blade is composed of an axis on which are arranged knives and spacers. It is also possible to include rigid rods on the blade to aerate thin litter.
The XO solution has been designed to meet the challenges of poultry farming: combining productivity, biosecurity and societal expectations where quality, the environment and animal welfare are of major concerns.
The new XO poultry robot from Octopus Biosafety is aimed at poultry farmers who are part of a process of increasing performance, increasing productivity by improving animal welfare.
– Improvement of litter and air quality: it provides treatment of litter by scarification.
– Environmental analysis and animal monitoring: equipped with Artificial Intelligence and on-board sensors, XO continuously maps the environment and records temperature, humidity and ammonia data in buildings.
– Ammonia reduction
– Litter quality improvement
– Reduction of pododermatitis
– Animal welfare improvement
– Working time optimization
– Reduction in the rearing time
– Increase in ADGs
– FCR improvement (Food Conversion Rate)
Octopus Biosafety currently offers three ranges of XO robots:
– XO MINI for buildings up to 1000 m²
– XO SCA and XO SAFE for buildings from 1500 m²
An XO SCA or XO SAFE robot can work in a building of up to 2500 m² maximum.
The robot makes it possible to scarify, disinfect the litter and recover data from the farm.
The XO robot is suitable for working the following types of litter: shavings, pellets, rice straw, short straw (not exceeding 10 cm).
Its speed of 0.12m/s was chosen to minimize animal stress. When there is too high a concentration of animals, especially at the end of the line, the robot will adapt its speed to 0.04m/s, allowing the animals to move and freeing the passage of the robot.
The XO SCA and XO SAFE robots have an autonomy of approximately 10 hours.
The XO MINI robot has an autonomy of about 5 hours.
Autonomous charging allows the robot to be, as its name suggests, 100% autonomous in the management of its energy, allowing the farmer to optimize his working time.
The sensors allow precise measurement of various elements such as temperature, hygrometry and ammonia. The breeder will be informed of the exceeding of certain thresholds by alerts on the tablet and his smartphone. He can then restore and correct these anomalies in his building.
Octopus Biosafety offers a maintenance contract over a period of 5 years.
The XO robot has a lifespan of more than 10 years.
XO robots are designed and manufactured in France.
The XO MINI, XO SCA and XO SAFE robots have been designed exclusively for poultry use in closed buildings and without human presence.
XO robots are sold and distributed by Octopus Biosafety and the Espace Emeraude network.
